Teddy's Wish x Bereavement Training International

Updated: Jul 15, 2024

We are so pleased to announce that Teddy’s Wish will be funding bereavement training through Bereavement Training International for health professionals at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

The Royal Free Hospital is very close to our hearts as this is where we had to say goodbye to Eddie and the reason why Teddy’s Wish exists today. We also have a special connection to Dr Claire Agathou, who by chance we met a few years later and we worked out that she was in the resuscitation room the night we lost Eddie. Lost in our own grief, we didn’t acknowledge the profound impact and trauma losing Eddie would have on the medical team who desperately tried to save his life.

By providing health professionals with the right specialist training, we believe they will be better equipped to deliver the best possible care and support to families.

The sessions will be delivered online, via zoom by Paula Abramson, founder of Bereavement Training International. If you are interested in attending or if you have any questions please get in touch by emailing support@teddyswish.org

“We still have a long way to go but we wouldn’t be where we are today without the support we received from Teddy's Wish. It is helping us process the loss of Amelia and to learn to parent her in a different way and ensure she is always at the heart of our family”
