Teddy's Wish x Bereavement Training International

In partnership with Bereavement Training International, Teddy's Wish funds specialist bereavement training days for health professionals within the NHS. The training is led and delivered by Paula Abramson.

The provision of high-quality support and care for families following a pregnancy loss and when a baby dies is vitally important. This training is designed to help health professionals feel better prepared and more confident to care for and support parents, at a time when they need it most.

Since 2021, Teddy's Wish have funded 15 training days at different NHS trusts, delivering training to 45 attendees on average per session.

Trusts include:

  • Royal Free Hospital

  • London North Central GPs

  • Imperial NHS Trust

  • Stoke Mandeville Hospital

  • John Radcliffe Hospital

  • Worcestershire NHS Trust

  • Milton Keynes Hospital

  • Queens Hospital Romford

  • Gloucestershire NHS Trust

  • Royal Stoke Hospital

The day is fully funded by Teddy's Wish and all attendees receive a CPD ceritifcate upon completion.

"Our beautiful daughter ran ahead almost 10 months ago, and I have thrown myself into many things since in a desperate search of something that might make it all just a tiny bit more bearable... I can confidently say that this weekend was the single most useful tool. I believe I have met a community for life, and I don't feel so alone anymore.”
