The Lullaby Trust has been selected to take part in the 2014 Big Give Christmas Challenge, which is a matched funding event. The Big Give Christmas Challenge runs from 4-6 December and donations made to The Lullaby Trust via the Big Give Christmas Challenge website during this time will be matched pound-for-pound to support The Lullaby Trust’s bereavement support services.
The Lullaby Trust supports families who have experienced the sudden and unexplained death of a baby, offering these families a unique and tailored range of support services, including a bereavement support line and a befriender matching scheme. By increasing the reach of their services The Lullaby Trust will be able to support more families through their isolating grief. The Lullaby Trust wants to ensure that bereaved families can talk freely with someone who understands the emotions experienced when a baby dies suddenly and unexpectedly and to develop follow-up support programmes to ensure a seamless service for bereaved families who go on to have another baby.
The Lullaby Trust’s participation in the challenge is only made possible due to the generosity of key donors who together put forward the matching fund in September.
Teddy’s Wish pledged £9,500 earlier this year to help secure The Lullaby Trust’s participation in this exciting challenge
